Effective this season, any team that has an illegal roster for 10 days will automatically be placed at the end of the the offseason draft order. If more than one team suffers this punishment, the team with more illegal days will be subject to the worse draft position. If there is still a tie (or whatever you want to call it), we will go by who had 10 illegal days first.
Just to clarify the things that can lead to an illegal roster. Obviously, having one on Fantrax, but also having exceeded your salary cap or roster limits (as per our rules). Additionally, if you do not have your league fee submitted by the deadline you will be considered illegal for every day until we do receive your payment. (for those that are wondering I will release the date and manner for submitting your league fee shortly).
And finally, Ty and I will assume sole responsibility to determining whether a team is tanking or not. If you are entering players, who have little to no chance of accumulating stats, we will consider this tanking, especially if you have viable options you are not starting. I do not plan on having to use this power, let's remember this is fantasy baseball and in the end its about pride, if you think you need to tank you may want to rethink you're life. For those convicted of tanking, you will be slotted at the end of the draft order. We may even reserve the right to take picks away from you (said picks will essentially be an empty spot in the draft), although this would only be for a severe case and is almost a guarantee to not be used. We will warn the GM of tanking and if it persists we will enforce this policy. In addition, we may consider the days in which you have tanked as illegal roster days which may result in you suffering punishment.
Since, we in the ELO (Esteemed League Office) believe tanking to be the most egregious of fantasy baseball sins, if we have a GM who is found to tank he will be after any GMs who submit illegal rosters.
