Only players and draft picks may be traded. Neither cash nor tags (whether Franchise or RFA) can be traded. The exception is a Player with an expiring deal may be traded with a tag attached. However, that tag must remain attached to that player and cannot be used on any other player. The GM who acquires the player can elect to not use the attached tag and use one of their own. For example trading for a player with a Franchise tag and then using your own Restricted tag, or vice versa. However in that case, the Franchise is lost and cannot be used on another player.
Any trade negotiations that conclude in an agreement must be posted to the message board under the section entitled “Trade Archives”. All terms of the trade must be listed here. It is required that one team involved in the trade post the agreement and terms, while the other team formally posts his confirmation/acceptance of the trade as listed. Full contract details must accompany all players traded.
Please review the terms carefully. Once the trade is formally accepted, it automatically approved. However, the Commissioner reserve the right to review any trade. If a trade is reviewed, one or both of the Commissioners will contact the parties to the trade and allow each side to explain why the trade should stand. Ultimately the decision rests with the Commissioners and the only criteria that is used is what is best for the health of the league as a whole. Trades involving collusion will be vetoed immediately. Trades that the commissioners deem patently unfair will likewise be vetoed. Oftentimes the Commissioners will ask the GMs to rework the deal to make it more palatable. Any GM is free to inquire about any other trade, by sending a message to the Commissioner.
We feel that effective communication is essential to maintain interest and activity in the league, so any and all communication channels are recommended. As such all GMs are forbidden from blocking other GMs messages. If there is a problem between GMs, the Commissioner’s will do their best to mediate and make sure any tension is resolved

Trading will resume at some point in the offseason, generally a week or two after the WS ends. The Commissioner will make a post to signify the reopening of trading, along with an offseason schedule. You may not trade pending FAs without a tag after the season.
