In the AL, Black Kevin has earned the #1 overall seed and is the favorite to repeat as champion of the Chin Music Universe, so let's all join together in rooting for whomever he is facing. THe Royals square off against the Angels, who won the AL West. Because the Twins are in the same division as the Royals, they get to avoid the juggernaut that is Black Kevin, the bad news is he has to face Ty and his Red Sox, winners of the AL East. In the NL, the race came down to the last day, and in the end The San Diego Padres secured the #1 seed and the right to face the Cincinnati Reds, winner of the wild card. In the other matchup the Nationals narrowly edged out the Mets (by a mere 50 points), so win the East for the second year in a row. They face the Cardinals in a round one matchup. I will do my best to update this page ( I will make sure to update it friday night or saturday morning so that you can see where you are on the weekend). Ultimately it's your responsibility to know where you stand. Feel free to post the scores in another thread, but try to keep this clean because I'll use this thread for each matchup. Good Luck to those who made it to the playoffs, to those that didn't start doing your draft work. | | AVG | HR | OPS | R | RBI | SB | | | ERA | HD | K | S | W | WHIP | | | TOTALS | | Kansas City Royals | .259 | 8 | .768 | 29 | 33 | 4 | | | 3.67 | 3 | 83 | 2 | 7 | 1.284 | | | 11-1-0 | | Los Angeles Angels | .184 | 5 | .576 | 19 | 31 | 1 | | | 3.86 | 1 | 48 | 0 | 2 | .964 | | | 1-11-0 | | | | | | Boston Red Sox | .332 | 8 | .911 | 35 | 34 | 4 | | | 5.35 | 4 | 65 | 4 | 4 | 1.508 | | | 6-4-2 | | Minnesota Twins | .307 | 8 | .929 | 34 | 29 | 5 | | | 2.62 | 1 | 38 | 1 | 4 | 1.142 | | | 4-6-2 | | | | | | San Diego Padres | .268 | 5 | .765 | 20 | 15 | 5 | | | 3.82 | 3 | 65 | 6 | 5 | 1.061 | | | 8-4-0 | | Cincinnati Reds | .262 | 8 | .777 | 16 | 27 | 3 | | | 2.06 | 0 | 40 | 4 | 3 | 1.093 | | | 4-8-0 | | | | | | St. Louis Cardinals | .251 | 5 | .741 | 21 | 21 | 5 | | | 6.75 | 4 | 38 | 1 | 3 | 1.966 | | | 7-4-1 | | Washington Nationals | .205 | 4 | .592 | 19 | 14 | 0 | | | 4.66 | 1 | 56 | 5 | 3 | 1.447 | | | 4-7-1 |

Damn, I thought the playoffs were next week haha. I'll be surprised if I go far with Mauer, Marte, and Reddick all out.

Ya the bad part about our playoffs are they are in september with expanded rosters and a lot of meaningless games. Kameron Loe gets to start baseball games, and a host of other horrific events occur.

Been a good matchup but I don't think I'm going to be able to pull it out. Always a bridesmaid...

Wow, talk about shitting the bed. Holy shit! My batters are 0-19 so far with the only Puig and Phillips left to do anything.
Amazingly though if Phillips and Puig somehow managed to both homer, I think I would pull this one out.

This is the part of fantasy I love most, frantically trying to figure out what your team needs to do to eke out a victory.

Playoff Scores are updated.
Ty does what he always does, pitch poorly and win counting stats. If it matters at the end of this week, I will personally calculate any rate stat, for example if WHIP is tied and all the matchup is a tie, I'll calculate the number all the way to the last decimal place to make to find a winner, if I need to.

Nice run by the Sox, bad time for my entire offense to be slumping!

Thanks, guys. I believe Fantrax will score tonight's Rays/Rangers game, and we each have players going. Not sure if it's possible to change the outcome at this point (I suppose there's a chance BA and OPS could flip in an extreme circumstance), but either way, we'll wait until tomorrow to declare a winner. As I've said before, I really think this has been our best, most competitive season to date. I really appreciate the time, effort and commitment everyone has put in to make a very enjoyable and entertaining league- even for the commissioner. I'm looking forward to our offseason and an even better 2014.

Damn you Fantrax...
"Congratulations Kansas City Royals ... You are the LEAGUE CHAMPION!*"
Anyway, congratulations to Ty on another championship! (I think he won). Hope to get some revenge in the playoffs next year. White Kevin, amazing season, hope to face you in the world series next season.
