AL CENTRAL
1…..The Favorite – Kansas City Royals
Blame the Rooney Rule, we had to put the black guy at the top so he wouldn’t go crying to the league office. You want the truth, Black Kev has built a winner and every year he proves to be the cream that rises to the top. Blah Blah. On Offense Schwarber, Benintendi, Correa, Seager, Franco, and pitchers like Buckholtz, Grilli, Lackey, Morton, Perez, Ross? Looks like all-star hitting meets old folks home disabled pitching. Either way he has Either on the DL. The Royals are still the defending division Champ I think and they deserve some respect because they look good from a distance, but when you get up close they have more wrinkles than a 70 year old sack. Should be fun to watch them fall.
2…. The Contender – Chicago White Sox
I calls em’ like I see’s em’. I’m actually glad I waited a couple weeks in to rank myself so high. I have a legit team built for making a run at the great KC Clan. MVP Kris Bryant and Addison Russell lead the charge along with Jon Lester and Matt Harvey on the mound. Lots of moves and a few long shots have made the Sox the team on the rise. Unlike the real North Siders this team is ready to win now. Maybe just maybe we will see a new team at the top.
3….Hoping for a Wild Card Run – Cleveland Indians
Yummy. I clicked on this team to do a little scouting and an ad popped up that said I should look for a hot Latino in my area tonight. I don’t see any Spanish hotties but I see a Pollock, an Archie, 2 smoking hot pitchers, a guy who’s CUTCH, and some Soler Power. No need to Panik just yet if you’re Leading the Tribe, but I will say without a little FA savvy and/or a trade you could be one injury away from completely YNOA playoff chances!
4….A few too many ? – Detroit Tigers
When you have Clayton Kershaw and Kyle Seager on your team you should be singing “We are the Champions” in your spandex tights, however, the Tigers are far from Detroit Rock City. There are question marks all over this young talented team. It’s a little like having Trout and being in rebuild mode(Uh Hum LAA). The new guys are getting AB’s and the old guys are serviceable giving him a potent offense, but pitching could be an issue if Brett Anderson starts to show his true worth and Weaver and Davies continue to look like POOH POOH its going to be a long average season for Detroit.
5…..The Rebuilder – Minnesota Twinkies
The Twins like the real Twins are light in the butt. They have youth or in the words of Joe Pechi YOUVES. This team has all the names: Crawford, Whitley, Cozens, Fulmer, Honeywell, Cabrera, some guy named Sixto and all kinds of other guys under the legal drinking age. I would literally go to jail if I had relations with several of his players. See you in 2019, but until then you can watch the Royals and White Sox duke it out.
