Here are my rankings by division.
NL EAST:
Philadelphia: B
Machado and Jenkins make this draft as both have tremendous upside. Chirinos and Cunningham are iffy prospects at best. Chirinos was the 2nd catcher off the board and that should have never happened.
Washington: C+
Taillon is a potential #1 starter. Let's hope Pittsburgh can actually develop pitching. How long has it been? There is no other picks so a C+ rating
Florida: C+
Lipka, Loux and Syndergaard are the main players here and even that is a stretch. Lipka could be a very nice SS or may end up in center, but should be a solid pro. Loux and Syndergaard are #3 pitcher's at best. The pick I really like is Ryan Brett at pick 140. Speed, speed and speed.
Atlanta: D+
Let's face reality here. If not for Ty stepping in, this draft could have been worse then the Brewers and Cardinals and they drafted no one. The best picks were Cobb and Vaughn with Vaughn being a potential stud. Let's hope he hits the homers like daddy but doesn't swing and miss like daddy did. Clarke has FLOP written all over him and was such a reach 24.
New York Mets: D+
Just a blah draft. Bedrosian, Deglan and Rasmussen make this class up. None of them are glamour prospects but my provide solid depth down the road.
NL CENTRAL:
Cincinnati: B+
Sale, Colon, Yelich and Marinez are the key. Also note Colon and Yelich packaged together were shipped for Ackley. So not a bad draft. Sale is all contingent on role. HUGE upside and was no shock he went #2. Marinez is a very nice bullpen arm that can and most likely will close in no time. Szcur is a nice pick at 69. It may have been a bit high, but nice player.
Pittsburgh: B
3 very solid players in Hendriks, Solis and Culberson. All can potentially contribute late 2011 or 2012. Peguero and Pimentel are nice, high upside prospects. This team continues to restock and does it so much better then the real life Pirates.
Chicago: B
Nishioka, starting SS at 21. Very nicely done. Now does his skills translate to the majors? Time will tell. The rest of this draft is very good. Golden is a 5 tool player with unlimited upside, Parker is another solid OF prospect and Simpson is a fantastic pick at 72.
Houston: C
Olt and Wojciechowski will either make this draft a B or a D-. Dan Klein may contribute if he can stay healthy.
Milwaukee: Incomplete
St. Louis: Incomplete
NL WEST:
Arizona: A
Now this is a great draft. Cox at 6 is a solid pick. I think Castellanos will be better and he was taken at 13, but i'm nit picking. Britton at 36 is a steal. Washington, Blair and Rodriguez are all big upside prospects. This team needed a draft like this and with the high end prospects already on this roster, it will be set for years to come
Colorado: B
Biddle. I love this pick at 65. There were atleast 10 pitchers drafted before him that should have never been off the board before by then. Add in the high upside arm of Heredia and what a 1, 2 punch. After that the draft is a little blah, but catchers do that unless their name is Grandal.
San Franscisco: C
Pomeranz at 8 is nicely done. A potential #2 starter if all falls into place. I liked Chuckie Jones at 128.
Los Angeles: C
Grandal makes this draft but nothing else after.
San Diego: F
Delino DeShields Jr. There are still open picks from this team and they should have used them.
AL EAST:
Toronto: A
Castellanos, best 3B in this class. Wonderful pick. Enny Romero at 43. Reminds me of Matt Moore 2 years ago. Taijuan Walker is another high upside #2 starter and at 73 is a absolute steal.
Boston: B+
Ranaudo and R. De La Rosa. Short, sweet and to the point. 2 very good starters. If Ranaudo is healthy, he will be a steal at 19.
Baltimore: B
Dwyer is a #2 starter potential if he can get those walks down. Garcia at 55 is another high upside OF but is years away.
New York: C
Michael Choice. He may not be Harper, but this guy can hit. Good strike zone judgment and fits the Oakland mold. The rest of this draft leaves alot to be desired
Tampa Bay: D
Sorry. Not much to like here at all.
AL CENTRAL:
Kansas City: B+
Tago at 27 was not a pick a like as Bettis and Santos I like more but still a nice pitcher. Cecchini, Moreno and Reed are all very nice pieces to added. Cecchini can freaking hit. Moreno is a potential closer in a year as well as Addison Reed. Mike Foltynewicz was drafted by Ed Wade and I hate Ed Wade.
Cleveland: B
No brainer pick with Harper and followed up nicely with Martinez. Huge projection in Martinez.
Chicago: D
Nothing special here
Detroit:
In my humble opinion, this was THE worst draft.
AL WEST
Texas: A+
This is probably my fav draft minus mine of course. I love this potential starting outfield of Parker, Eibner and Ozuna. Add in 4 #2 starters in Sanchez, Jackson, Campos and Ventura. This was a great draft. The rich keep getting richer.
Seattle: B+
I love the pitchers here in Lee and Bettis. Snatching 2 #2 starters easily get a B+ grade. This is a similar scenario to that of Boston above
Los Angeles: B
I have a gut feeling that McGuire turns out to be an eatings eater pitcher at best. I do like the Gary Brown and Yordy Cabrera picks. Nicely done.
Oakland: D
This draft is blah blah blah at best.
