Hey everyone. Maybe I missed it on the boards here but it appears there was a rule change in Fantrax where it adjusted players position eligibility and upped the min number of games needed to be eligible. That game change requirement is fine with me but what I think needs a bit more clarification, is to why it was changed 5 days AFTER INF FA bidding had been completed.
I prioritized Brad Miller because he was posted and eligible at MI, CI, and OF. Winning the bid and then 3 days after the bids were rewarded the rule was changed and he lost his MI eligibility. Again I don't mind the change in the thresholds but I do mind the timing this is made. I prioritized someone with MI eligibility and wanted Miller because of his position flexibility. It feels like this is a change that either needed to be made 3 weeks ago prior to bidding so we knew exactly what we were bidding on, or the change needs to happen before next season.
If I missed something posted please let me know or if there are others that have opinions would love to hear it. Once again, I don't mind the change, only the timing.

We adjusted it for the COVID Shortened season. Ty just adjusted it back.
I will also say that fantrax isnt always right because of how we do things.
If the threshold is 100 games and they play 99 at 2b and 99 at SS, fantrax will not have them MI eligible. We will go in and manually make it so that they are MI eligible if they combine for 100 at either MI position.
Our rule is: 20 games in the previous season or 5 in the current season (this should be the case already on the fantrax side of things)
Miller has had: 13 at MI in 2021 3 at MI in 2020 14 at MI in 219
tbh I dont know how he was ever marked as eligible at MI. I'll let Ty or Scott make a ruling but the change was us setting fantrax to our rules back from the covid season adjustment.

I noticed this too. i lost eligibility on a couple of my guys as well. I dont think our rules changed, i think fantrax was late to update this year.

Appreciate the clarification on the COVID season. I guess what is confusing for a year 2 guy is that we played all last season with the setting the way it was so had no way in even anticipating something like this, especially after the posting and bidding week had him listed as a MI.
I'll wait to hear more.

Yeah, its tough. Ultimately he shouldn't have been listed on here as a MI. But Scott is also right and there is a day each year that fantrax has a bunch of guys lose and gain eligibility.

So is Fantrax wrong when it says in our notifications that on March 9th the eligibility threshold was changed?
Date (CDT) Rule Changed From Changed To User Mar 9, 2022, 2:09 PM Minimum # of games played in previous season needed to qualify for a position eligibility 7 20 tcc1986 Mar 9, 2022, 2:09 PM Minimum # of starts needed from previous season for a player to qualify as a starting pitcher (SP). 5 10 tcc1986

Not trying to be a pain, just was a bit surprised and haven't been a fantrax user outside of this league.

No, that is correct. That was Ty changing it back from our temporary COVID adjustment for that shortened season.
