Hey guys, as always we try to make this place better and smoother running all the time. Years ago this was just a barely admin'd forum with 1.2 commissioners (swo is only worth .2).
Since adding Scott and I we have added things like:
- The top section of the forum (at bat, on deck int he hole, and the quick links to team pages, and quick links to the brief rules doc, fantrax, and the google sheet)
- The google sheet to handle club finance and record keeping in a more official way.
- The brief and (hopefully) understandable version of the rules.
- The new and improved power ranks (coming Opening Day again!)
- We tried Slack last year and it did not really work sadly. I would still really like some sort of real time chatting, but we can get there at some point.
One if the biggest reasons for these improvements have been making running the league less taxing on the commissioners and on all of you. In an effort to try to make the single most difficult part of our lives a little easier, I want to build an automated bid sorting system.
This is something that would cut down on Ty/Swo having to be around every Friday night/Saturday morning to sort through everything for hours and as they get old and have "real life stuff" to do, it is something that needs to happen. However, I have one major question/hurdle about this:
Does everyone here use or have their own google account? (a gmail address, or otherwise). We obviously on here have a nice login system where we KNOW the bids are coming from the appropriate people, but we would need a way for you to let us know who the bids are coming from besides the honor system. If not, its ok, there are other ways to do this, but google accounts would be a lot easier for me to build with.
Please leave a reply to this topic if you have a google account or not (or would be willing to sign up for one if you dont have one). If we do not have 100%, then I will find another way... no one will ever be prevented from bidding because of a technicality. Thanks.
