I know there are others in here that do the Roto leagues on FanTrax or other sites that you draft and hold. I entered one on FanTrax today. TRAX50 Draft and Hold (38) is the league. $50 entry, no trades or pickups, (2) Catchers, slow draft. Right now there are 5 of 12 entries in there. Draft will start when it's full.

Im in 2 Fantrax Best ball leagues - slow drafts 1 is round 27 of 40, the other 24 of 40. I liked best ball over draft and hold because i didnt like the bi-weekly lineup changes of draft and hold. Id rather it be daily changes or no changes at all (best ball). Id be up for another best ball if anyone would be interested.

Good luck. I'd say OF and obviously SP is shallow. Wait on SS, it's so deep imo.

Last two years my hitting has been good and my pitching has sucked. Might go Scherzer

I hate being the first non-obvious spot. Trout and Betts are going to be 1-2, then it’s whatever. Can’t decide between Scherzer, Jose Ramirez or Arenado.

Would guys here be interested in doing a re-draft roto league? would need 10-12 maybe $25-$50 bucks thru LeagueSafe?

Draft started. Couldn't pull the trigger on a pitcher that early. Took Jose Ramirez. I always overestimate my ability to grab pitching late in these leagues lol. Last two years in these I've finished 4th and 5th, both times with the top offense in the league...worst and next to worst pitching though.

First 5 picks.
Jose Ramirez 1/3 Blake Snell 2/28 Kris Bryant 3/33 Clayton Kershaw 4/58 Gleyber Torres 5/63
Was surprised Kershaw was there that late. Yeah he's got an unknown injury but if I can get 150 Kershaw innings, could be a steal.

Here are my best ball draft results. 12 teams - points, just draft away and there are no transactions or lineup changes. Only the top point getters count as your points for that week. 1 C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B. 5 OF, 3 UT/any other hitter and 9 P per period.
1st league is $10 - it basically a 50/50. 1st thru 5th, $20. 6th place $10.

But people were taking so long to draft that they both were basically simultaneous. Really disliked my OF in this draft. Selected 9 guys but could very well see only 4 having regular ABs by August/September. It seems the key to these best ball leagues is finding 40 guys that actually play the whole season. Last year was my first attempt at best ball and i did pretty bad. I tried to predict saves and failed. Relievers who dont get saves are useless in this format. The only relievers i took were just too good of value to pass up in my opinion.
2nd league is $50. 1st place $500, 2nd $50.

With this prize structure i probably should have been more ballzy but i think i drafted pretty safe. I love my offense, 3B might be bad as all 3 have some significant risk of injury. Waited a little too long on SS but think i got very good value on those that i did pick. I liked my Pitching after the draft but as i make this post im starting to re-think that. hated the greinke pick as i made it but SP went so early in this draft compared to the other. I felt i had to take a SP in the 4th when i probably should have just continued with offense. We'll see....
