Name the last #1 Dynasty catcher to sustain for years without injury and I’ll still show you a guy that can’t reduce top 10 numbers.
That position just pisses me off. It’s the equivalent of fantasy QB. They’re all replaceable.

I took a catcher with my only 1st round pick I ever kept. So long ago most of you were still virgins.
His name is Kellin Deglin.
Fucker never made it out of AA.
Irish Catchers are killers.

Matt Wieters was a GAWD picked 1 to the Orioles. Just saying.

I mean injuries are just likely at C, but if you hit on em your set on the weakest position in baseball. Definitely huge value there he just has to pan out.

Now I’m the guy who paid Posey $20m a year and traded my entire draft for Wilson Contreras. I get the importance. I just want to see the final product and I’m too damn impatient for these guys who need to “learn to call a game.”

People have different styles/strategies/valuation ... whitey is entitled to his here. I personally think rutschman is going to be amazing and give me a huge edge getting that kind of production from catcher.

Posey was immense during his PP years.

Posey wasn't immense. He had 1 great year and about 3 productive years. Then Whitey traded for him.

He was PP thru 14.
During that time he finished with: 1 Rookie of the year, 2 all stars, 2 silver sluggers, 1 mvp, 1 batting title. 1 injury shortened season, the rest totals... HR: 18, 24, 15, 22 AVG: 305, 336, 294, 311
That production from catcher is immense.

I'll also add the possibility that the orioles could use rutschman at dh to gain more at-bats kind of like royals have done with salvy perez. If he gets some extra at bats with the dh there is clear .300 30 hr upside here in my opinion. That's what I'm dreaming on. In that case you have vaughns potential production but in the catcher slot.

i vote to change hitting positions to all UT. Clearly BK is trying to corner the market on Catchers in the year 2023.

Not quite draft commentary, but for our new owners: Trades must have full names, salaries, and any picks need to be X.XX or if we dont know the order yet (during the season) then Team X's X rounder. Otherwise, trades will not be processed.
